A further commercial success for Aedes, which beat off competition from leading Milanese companies, was the construction of the new Piazza at Via Ceresio 7 in Milan.
The new public space of about 6,000 square meters is set between historic buildings, such as the Liberty which is being renovated to house the Museum of Design (ADI) and well-known commercial buildings such as Ceresio 7 and the headquarters of Dsquared2.
The project consists of three themed areas:
- The square in front of the future home of the Museum of Design, featuring a large infinity fountain;
- The green embankment, with ponds and botanical species;
- The path marked out by a ribbon feature in turn transforms into a bench, staircase, bicycle rack and access ramp to the raised area.
Another reason to feel proud is the use of local Ossola stone to pave the entire square.
