For several days, we have been torn between our commitment to continuing work for the good of the country and our concern for the employees, managers, subcontractors and suppliers on our construction sites.
In the office, we were able to switch to remote working, but this solution could obviously not be applied across the board.
On Thursday the 12th, we decided to suspend activity on our construction sites, taking care to secure each location.
It was not an easy decision, but we believe it was the best choice we could make to safeguard the health of all the people involved.
After explaining our position to our customers and reassuring them that we would still be available for urgent issues, we were met with near-unanimous support.
We would like to thank all our employees for their dedication, responsibility and courage. It has not been easy for anyone.
I would also like to thank everyone who has shared the responsibility of running the company with me for the past few days: these difficult times have put us all to the test, and our team has proved to be stronger than ever!
After this quarantine, the world will be a different place, and we will have to embrace a new way of working in which discussion will play an even more vital role.
We are already looking to the future, and we are ready to get started as soon as it is safe to do so. See you soon!
