ESTIMATOR IN TENDERING OFFICE
The individual will be responsible for the preparation of offers, analysing the technical specifications required by the customer, collating quotations, processing analyses and cost estimates, up to the calculation of the final bid price.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving, checking and processing tender documents
- Preparing the technical documents necessary to develop the technical/economic offer, interfacing with the various offices involved (administration, technical office, management)
- Preparing tender documents for suppliers (RFPs - Requests for Proposals): bills of quantities, specifications, technical specifications and tables in order to have the supplier quote the product as accurately as possible
- Liaison with suppliers to develop cost estimates
- Identifying and selecting possible partners who, due to their technical skills, references and local presence, can help increase the competitiveness of the offer
- Independently developing bills of quantities and cost estimates, in relation to the drafting of the offer.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in engineering or architecture or diploma in quantity surveying or equivalent technical training
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of Excel, Autocad, Microsoft Project and Primus
- Knowledge of costing (budgeting, analysis and control), particularly in the construction industry
- Technical, economic and financial planning and control skills
- Ability to organise and work to targets within tight deadlines
- Negotiation, communication and relationship skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Flexibility

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and selection of suppliers for construction production orders
- Research and selection of suppliers for purchases of consumables, vehicles, maintenance, rentals, etc.
- Requesting, tabulating and evaluating offers
- Discussion and coordination with technical site managers
- Negotiation with suppliers
- Definition of contractual conditions
- Management of orders and contracts
- Monitoring performance of suppliers and subcontractors
- Identifying new sources of supply and new suppliers

REPORTING

REQUIREMENTS
Qualification: technical diploma or degree
1 - 5 years' experience in the construction sector in a similar position
Alternatively, 1 - 5 years' experience as a technical site manager with procurement management
Age: 25 - 35 years

JUNIOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER

DEGREE: Master's degree in construction engineering or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years.
LANGUAGES: Italian, English.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Mail and Autocad. Possibly also Primus, Pimus and BIM.
SOFT SKILLS: Organisational skills and ability to work in a team.
