The restoration work on the Castles of Cannero continues to inspire and fascinate.

A conference held in Verbania on Friday, October 10, promoted by the Order of Architects of Novara and VCO, dedicated an entire afternoon to the enlightening project, focusing particularly on the extremely challenging construction and logistics issues.

As affirmed by Ruggero Spagliarisi, "The challenge of such a distinctive project, both from a logistical and historical perspective, was overcome through the positive collaboration between the Borromeo Family, an enlightened Client, a strong public-private relationship, a design capable of enhancing history with an innovative vision, and technical construction expertise skilled at finding solutions to unprecedented problems."

"This project is also an emblematic example of how the synergy among our three companies was an essential factor for the successful outcome of the work. We operated as Aedes, the general contractor, utilizing our own workforce for certain activities. We relied on Barberi Restauri for the specialized interventions dedicated to the recovery of frescoes, interior, and exterior walls, and on Comar for all the logistics, from transport to the most complex underwater operations."

As Andrea Oberoffer stated, "It was a unique, enriching, and stimulating construction site that we will remember for a lifetime. The particular challenge of this site was having to adapt to the geometric, material, and logistical 'needs' of the Castle, requiring us to constantly reinvent ourselves, break classic construction schemes, find new solutions, an unrepeatable opportunity for training and company growth."
